Risk Management Assessment in Oil and Gas Construction Projects Using Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM)

Oil and gas construction projects are of great importance to support facilitate the process operation production. However, these usually face chronic risks that lead time overrun, cost poor quality, affecting projects’ success. Hence, this study focused on identifying, classifying, modeling risk factors have negative effects success in Yemen. The data were collected through a structured questionnaire. Statistical analysis, relative important index method, probability impact matrix analysis carried out classify rank factors. partial least squares path or structural equation (PLS-PM, PLS-SEM) is method for allows an estimation complex cause–effect relationships models with latent variables. PLS-SEM was employed analyze from questionnaire survey 314 participants comprising clients, contractors, consultants working oil projects. results showed goodness fit model 0.638. developed deemed because result coefficient determination test (R2) 0.720, which indicates significant explanation relationship between causes their most impacted internal categories include project management, feasibility design, resource material availability. main external elements political, economic, security considerations. created factor explained influence effectively, according statistical expert validation tests.
